When summer is there it means it's time for summer vacations. Whether it's a spontaneous trip or you have planned it, if you wear contact lenses you must not forget to take it with you. It is important to know and pack necessary things required in a trip.
Carry your lenses, solution and eyeglass along with you
The dry air circulating inside an aeroplane make lens wear uncomfortable. It is a good option to remove them while travelling in an aeroplane.
Travel with daily disposable
Daily disposables are easier to pack. One may always worry about bringing large bottles of contact lens solutions. There is an alternative for this, specific solution are there which maintains hydration even after 12 hours. They are perfect for long flights.
Carry as much solution as you want
Contact lens solution fall under medical liquids, you can bring more than 3oz. declare them at the checking place and you don't have to put it inside a bag.
Bring your glasses while travelling
Sometimes while travelling the air gets drier and allergens are present in the air. During this time do not use contact lenses and instead it's good to use your glasses as a backup.
Pack enough for the trip
Sometimes it may become difficult to purchase contact lens solution while you are on a trip and so it’s better to bring it along. If you are wearing daily disposable contact lenses make sure you take some extra.
Do not transfer solution two a small contain
Transferring solution into a small container can affect solutions sterility. If you want a travel friendly size, it is available in the drug store and it also has a mirror in the case.
Keep solution in a ziplock bag
While travelling the container starts leaking because of the pressure inside an aeroplane. Make sure two seal them up and put it inside a ziplock bag.
