Eyes are the most important part of our body. A well balanced nutrition is very important to keep our eyes healthy. But most of us do not know which food is right for our eyes. Let us take a look to know about nutritional foods for our eyes.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids

The first one is flaxseed. Flaxseed is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and it also contains other vitamins which is useful for maintaining retinal health. Some of the other sources of Omega 3 fatty acids are Walnuts, salmon, soybeans, halimut etc.

Vitamin E

Almonds provide rich source of vitamin E. They are helpful in lubricating our eyes and also protect us from environmental damage to our eyes. Some other sources of Vitamin E are vegetable oils, tomatoes, Pine nuts, sunflower seeds etc

Vitamin C

Strawberries are good source of vitamin C. They contain more vitamins when compared with oranges. They reduce the risk of developing cataracts. Some of the other sources of Vitamin C are guava, kiwi, sweet red peppers, orange etc.

Vitamin A

Zinc present in beans is very helpful in absorbing vitamin A. It also acts as an antioxidant. Zinc is also helpful in maintaining macular degeneration and night blindness. Some other sources of Vitamin A are spinach, beef, cashews, seafood etc

Vitamin D

Sun rays are good source of vitamin D. It is also free of cost and it is helpful in maintaining age-related macular degeneration. Some of the other sources of Vitamin D are milk, eggs, mushroom, salmon etc
