There is no scientific evidence that blue light damages our eyes. In today's world people are more attached with digital devices like computers, TV, phone, tablet etc. when we are looking onto a computer we blink our eyes less. This causes discomfort in eyes leading to digital eye strain and as a result the eyes also get dry.

Our body has an attachment with blue light. Blue light helps us to get up early and stimulates us when it is daytime, but when it is night exposure to blue light from phone to computer can make us harder to sleep. Therefore it is recommended to limit the screen time during night and before going to bed. Modern day devices come with night mode which minimizes the intensity of blue light. This is also known as eye comfort mode.

The sun is the major source of blue light. some of the other sources of blue light are LED bulbs, fluorescent bulbs etc. the sun exposes more blue light when compared to modern day digital devices and too much of exposure causes eye conditions such as eye cancer, cataract etc. There is an ongoing research which will help us to know more about blue light. There are no known evidences of damage from blue light but still we can prevent our eyes from blue light as prevention is better than cure.

If there is less exposure to sunlight, children can get eye conditions purchase myopia and so there must be adequate water to sunlight but not too much.

Take regular break for 20 minutes when you are working on a computer or watching a mobile phone. Try to look farther objects and shift your vision accordingly. One can also use artificial tears to get some relief when they feel that their eyes are dry.
