Proper rest should be given to the eyes to relax. Getting up, stretching and moving around helps a lot in this.

Keep in mind that the computer screen is at a downward angle that is between 15 to 20 degrees below the eye level. It should be at least 20 to 28 inches away from the eyes. Floor lamps can be used instead of overhead lighting. Proper lighting reduces glare. The screens can be kept away from fluorescent lights. Curtains can be used to prevent outside glare from affecting.

Display settings can be adjusted. The brightness can be avoided according to the surrounding light. Other factors that make a difference are text size and contrast. It is necessary to keep under consideration the seating arrangement. A comfortable chair well padded with arm rests provides support. The height should also be adjusted accordingly for great comfort.

Paperwork if any should be placed above the keyboard and below the level of the monitor. For this a document holder will be of greater use. It should be placed at a comfortable angle.
